Sarawak all set for 2030 developed state status, says CM

In stating this assurance, Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg points out that the Sarawak government has put in place the necessary infrastructure, with more initiatives to follow, towards attaining this goal. SHAH ALAM – Kosong. Itu angka yang dinyatakan Persatuan Sukan Elektronik Malaysia (ESM) apabila mendakwa pihaknya masih belum menerima sebarang peruntukan daripada Kementerian Belia dan Sukan (KBS) setakat semalam untuk mengadakan Acara Sesi Kelayakan Pemilihan Atlet E-Sukan ke Sukan SEA 2019. Pemangku Presiden ESM Datuk Ananth S. Nathan berkata meskipun peruntukan tersebut telah dijanjikan untuk disalurkan bagi acara itu namun prosesnya terlalu mengambil masa. “Mereka akan memberi peruntukan. Tapi apa guna beri peruntukan jika acara sudah pun berlalu? Kami faham ada proses yang perlu dilakukan, termasuk melalui beberapa jabatan namun mungkin semua pihak yang terlibat perlu mempercepatkan proses dan membantu kami. “Acara mesti diteruskan. KUCHING: Sarawak is keen to seek the help of Malaysian Technology Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (MTDC) in managing the state’s Agriculture Venture Capital (AVC) fund. Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah said this during a courtesy call by MTDC officials on him at his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia yesterday. The visiting MTDC delegation was led by its Corporate Services Division officer Mohammad Farish Nizar Othman. MTDC is a key player in technology commercialisation and in promoting the adoption of technologies by local companies in the country in the last 25 years. Uggah flanked by Pahon (fifth left) and Mohammad Farish in a photo call together with the visiting MTDC officials. The corporation is actively involved in the business of fund management, incubation, advisory and nurturing services.
