CUATRO SERVICES SDN BHD today announced that it has signed a Service Agreement with X-FAB SARAWAK SDN BHD at SEMICON South East Asia 2019 which is being held at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur.

The Service Agreement is for Cuatro Services Sdn. Bhd. to provide Artificial Intelligence Deep Learning models for picture-based defect classification. This solution will be used in X-FAB’s semiconductor fabrication facility in order to replace manual classification.

By implementing this AI Deep Learning based solution, X-FAB will be able to obtain substantial savings in operation cost and will help in improving the production flow of their wafer production.

Cuatro Services is selected after a thorough evaluation of its Proof of Concept (POC), including its ability to exceed X-FAB’s service level expectation. Cuatro will provide an AI Deep Learning based model which will have a correct classification rate of more than 90%, with a desired rate of more than 95%.

Cuatro Services is a Malaysian company providing Artificial Intelligence solutions for industries like Semiconductor, Telecommunications, Oil & Gas and Agriculture. Cuatro Services’ team consist of local Malaysian AI Scientists and AI Engineers and they have been working round the clock to deliver the solution to X-FAB. This recognition proves that local talents are capable of producing AI Deep Learning solutions of an international standards.

The collaboration is also made possible with the guidance and support received from Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA).

If the expected cost savings are achieved, X-FAB may engage with Cuatro Services in other AI based solutions to be implemented at X-FAB’s worldwide production facilities located in Germany, France and the United States of America.
